The Vice President Infrastructure leads a team of three highly qualified system administrators, uniting responsibility for all our critical IT assets. The team’s main task is the operation and evolution of our redundant 24×7 data centers as well as the infrastructure of our global offices. The VP Infrastructure reports directly to the CTO.
The main responsibilities of your team are:
- Operation, maintenance as well as capacity and feature planning of all IT assets
- Linux and Windows servers
– Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
– Internal web services
– Development tools, e.g. code repository, issue tracker, build automation
– Storage and backup
– Telephony / VoIP
– Switching and routing infrastructure
– Identity management and access control
– Exchange / RDS / ADS environment
– Linux, OS X and Windows clients (build and patch management)
– Physical access control (biometric)
- Evaluation of new products and services
- Vendor and service provider management
- Engineering and end user support
- Budget control
You have a Bachelor (or higher) degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in the relevant field. You are fluent in German and English. You have substantial work experience in Information Technology or Telecommunications and enjoy the combination of technology, leadership and communication skills.
